ACHIEVEMENTS

Paul Talbot has been working as a humanitarian aid worker for Haitians and Dominicans in the Dominican Republic for 14 years. Since 2018, I have joined the Association of Artisans of Peace International.

Concerts

It began with concerts organized in Rivière-du-Loup to help a school in Haiti: Corail (800 students). Already, this school received donations every year from the Capuchin fathers under the name Mission Corail Haiti.

Needs in the Dominican Republic

Then, as I was helping many Dominicans in poverty at the same time, I ended up devoting my concert profits almost exclusively to the Dominicans, since the requests from the Dominicans were becoming more and more numerous and I could choose myself to whom to give directly without an intermediary.

Monetary relief

The monetary aid collected is used to pay for:

  • Doctors, dentists and medications for serious and urgent cases.

  • The needs for food for the flood victims, drinking water, clothing, shoes were followed.

  • Later, perforated roofs, furniture, refrigerators, BBQs, tables, mattresses, etc.

  • There are also tuition fees for young people who want to continue their studies at a university or even at a trade school.

  • Finally, I financially support micro-enterprise initiatives in the Puerto Plata region ranging from Gaspard Hernandez to Sosua. Ex: honey house, barber shops, nail care, fishmonger.
